CCFS is dedicated to helping transition-aged youth who have prior involvement with the justice system or foster care system to pursue careers in the fields of firefighting, nursing, plumbing, electrical work, and construction. Our goal is to create employment opportunities for disadvantaged populations and reduce the likelihood of recidivism.
To support our participants, we offer free residential shared living accommodations and meals at our CCFS training facilities. We cover the cost of required equipment and classes for each participant, including certification, training, and career guidance for both full-time and seasonal employment positions.
In addition, we provide case management, housing, and supportive services, such as job coaching and job placement assistance. We also offer expungement assistance, as needed, for participants who have a history of involvement with the justice system.
